Resolve is the first stage of Buyer Intelligence. Most activity 1eyeᴬᴵ captures — a website visit, a market signal, a LinkedIn interaction — starts out anonymous. Resolve de-anonymizes that activity and connects it to one canonical identity: the person and the company behind it.

What Resolve does

  • Matches an anonymous signal to a known person and company, when a match exists
  • Links every signal for the same person or company back to one identity, instead of treating each one as a separate, disconnected event
  • Distinguishes person-level identity (who) from company-level identity (which business)

How Resolve fits into Buyer Intelligence

  • Before Resolve — Website Signals, Market Signals, and LinkedIn Signals capture raw activity, which may still be anonymous
  • Resolve — turns that activity into one identity, the person and the company behind it
  • After Resolve — Enrich fills that identity out with additional context
Every contact in Target Buyer is a resolved identity — one record per person, with the company behind them shown inline, even when the underlying activity came from more than one signal over time.

Best practices

  • Keep the website pixel installed — resolution depends on it to identify visitors in the first place
  • Expect gaps — not every anonymous visitor can be resolved; unresolved activity still shows as a signal, just without an identity attached

Next step

Next, go to Enrich to see how a resolved identity gets filled out with context.
