# Topics

> The subjects 1eyeᴬᴵ tracks for your workspace, so it can surface signals when a buyer researches them.

Topics are the subjects, problems, or categories you're tracking for this workspace. Add or edit Topics so 1eyeᴬᴵ can recognize when a buyer researches one of them and surface it as a Research signal in Market Signals.

For Snowbricks, examples could include:

| Topic Name | Short Name | Description |
| - | - | - |
| No-Code App Development | NOCODE | Interest in building software applications without writing code |
| Workflow Automation | AUTOMATION | Interest in automating repetitive business processes and tasks |
| Internal Tools | INTERNALTOOLS | Interest in building internal tools and dashboards for teams |

## Topics and Market Signals

Every topic you add here powers the Research trigger in Market Signals. When a buyer researches a topic you're tracking, 1eyeᴬᴵ surfaces it on their profile and timeline as researched — for example, "Jordan Price researched Workflow Automation." See [Market Signals](/signals/market-signals) to see these signals alongside Product and Competitor activity.

## Where to find Topics

1. Open your 1eyeᴬᴵ workspace
2. Select Knowledge Base from the left-hand nav
3. Select the Topics tab

## Best practices

* Track topics buyers actually research — Add subjects that map to real problems or categories in your space, not everything tangentially related.
* Write a clear Description — A short, specific description helps your team understand each topic's relevance at a glance.
* Keep the list focused — Too many overlapping topics can dilute signal quality; a tighter list produces clearer, more actionable signals.

## Next step

See [Market Signals](/signals/market-signals) to see how buyer research on these topics shows up in your buyers' signals.
