# Retrieve a Destination

> Retrieve a Destination and its workflow, connection, and Console summary.

Retrieve a Destination's metadata, source Target Lists, workflow execution state, connection configuration, and Console summary.

```text theme={null}
GET /v1/destinations/{destination_id}
```

## Authentication

All requests require a workspace API key:

```http theme={null}
Authorization: Bearer 1eye_live_xxxxxxxxx
```

The examples use `$API_KEY` for your API key. The key determines the workspace; you do not supply a workspace ID. See [Authentication](https://docs.1eye.ai/api-reference/auth.md).

## Path parameter

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `destination_id` | string | Public Destination ID beginning with `des_`. |

## Request

```bash theme={null}
curl "https://api.1eye.ai/v1/destinations/des_123456789012345678" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY"
```

## Response

**200 OK** — returns the Destination object directly.

```json theme={null}
{
  "id": "des_123456789012345678",
## Destination fields
| Field | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `id` | string | Public Destination ID (`des_`). |
| `client_id` | string | Workspace ID (`wor_`). |
| `name` | string | Destination display name. |
| `type` | string | Provider, such as `salesforce`, `hubspot`, `slack`, or `webhook`. |
| `status` | string | Destination lifecycle state. Public GET endpoints return active Destinations. |
| `workflow_id` | string | Associated Destination Workflow ID (`dwo_`). |
| `workflow_status` | string | Current execution state, for example `running`, `ready`, or `not_running`. |
| `target_list_ids` | string array | Target Lists configured as workflow sources. |
| `delivery_behavior` | string | `going_forward` or `push_retroactively`. |
| `push_behavior` | string | `once_per_buyer` or `every_signal`. |
| `is_connected` | boolean | Whether a provider connection is configured. |
| `console` | object | Overall unique-Buyer delivery counts. |
| `created_by` | object | Creator `id`, `type`, `name`, `profile_pic`, and `title`. |
| `created_at` | datetime | Creation timestamp in UTC. |
| `updated_at` | datetime | Last modification timestamp in UTC. |
## Understand Destination state
`status: active` means the Destination exists. A Destination can be active while its workflow is stopped.
`workflow_status` describes the associated workflow's execution state. It uses the shared workflow status vocabulary; clients should not infer it from Buyer counts.
`is_connected: true` means connection configuration exists. It is not a live health check and does not guarantee valid credentials, a reachable endpoint, or a successful delivery. Inspect the Console for actual outcomes.
## Delivery settings
| Field/value | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `delivery_behavior: going_forward` | Process eligible activity going forward. |
| `delivery_behavior: push_retroactively` | Include eligible historical records according to the workflow. |
| `push_behavior: once_per_buyer` | Deliver once per eligible Buyer. |
| `push_behavior: every_signal` | Deliver on eligible Signal activity. |
## Console summary
`total`, `pushed`, `pending`, and `failed` count unique Buyers by their latest delivery state, across the complete Destination Console. They do not count raw attempts or retries. An empty Console returns zero counts.
Use [Retrieve Destination Console](https://docs.1eye.ai/api-reference/retrieve-destination-console.md) to inspect Buyer records and delivery reasons.
## Resource access
Missing, deleted, or inaccessible Destinations return `404 not_found`. Provider credentials, field-mapping payloads, workflow graphs, and raw execution logs are not returned.
## Errors
| Status | Error code | Description |
| - | - | - |
| 400 | `invalid_parameter` | A request field or query parameter is invalid. |
| 404 | `not_found` | The Destination does not exist or is inaccessible. |
| 401 | `authentication_error` | The API key is missing, invalid, or revoked. |
| 403 | `permission_denied` | The key does not have permission for this operation. |
| 429 | `rate_limit_exceeded` | The workspace API rate limit was exceeded. |
| 500 | `internal_error` | An unexpected server error occurred. |
| 503 | `service_unavailable` | The service is temporarily unavailable. |
Errors use the standard [error envelope](https://docs.1eye.ai/api-reference/errors.md). Use `request_id` when contacting support.
