# Rate Limits

> See the request limits that apply to your workspace.

Rate limits control how many requests your workspace can make to the 1eye API in a given time window. They help keep the API fast and reliable for everyone.

## Current limits

* Minute limit — 100 requests
* Hourly limit — 1,000 requests
* Daily limit — 5,000 requests

## How limits apply

* Limits apply at the workspace level, not per API key
* All API keys in a workspace share the same limits
* Creating additional API keys does not increase your workspace's capacity

## When you hit a limit

Requests over the limit receive a 429 response with a Retry-After header telling you how long to wait before trying again.

## Best practices

* Check Rate Limits before building high-volume integrations
* Respect the Retry-After header instead of retrying immediately
* Batch or cache requests where possible to reduce call volume
* Monitor API Logs to spot unexpected spikes in usage
